The idea to consider the Mediterranean as place of encounter of various cultures is not new, but sure it is inexhaustible suggestion for artistic elaborations of great quality. This production of the Forrest Hill is an example, that leaves Naples in order to search the deep roots of this culture basement that joins the several sides of the marine river basin, leading back them to a simple feeling of melancholy, due to the continuous disappointment of own desires of redemption ( Malmediterraneo ).
Several are the thematic faced, from the portrait of a Naples prostitute of affection and mother by profession ( I'te cunzolo ), to the vicinity between the people in desire of peace ( Bandera , with the participation of Gabin Dabire and of the cora of Lao Kouyate), from the civil topics of A chi vo' 'sta guerra to the song of disappointed love Tu m'he lassato , etc. Musically rich and moving, Malmediterraneo bewitches for the preparation of all the musicians (Roberto Bartoli, Paul Caruso, Guglielmo Pagnozzi and Guido Sodo of Cantodiscanto) plus all the other hosts and the splendid voices of Guido Sodo and above all Silvia Testoni.
To listen.
